“All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” John 6:37
Jesus tells the crowd that God has placed a longing into our hearts to come to Jesus. Jesus came to earth to do his Father’s will and show us who God really is… his faithful love and compassion, his mercy and care, and that Father God does not want anyone who comes to him, to get lost.
How we respond to Jesus’ invitation, is a decision each person has to make for himself/herself. Can we trust Jesus that he will not drive any person away who comes to him… even sinners and those who feel not good enough? What will determine our decision… fear of being rejected or longing to know Jesus and his Father? We are all free to come… young and old, male and female, whatever our background and culture…

Father, please reveal Your love to each one of us at St John’s… whether we are members, visitors or still struggling with the events of last year.
