We are pleased to share with you the recent developments at Rea Thusana Home. Over the past few months, we have warmly welcomed five vulnerable women who are in need of a secure and nurturing environment to heal and thrive.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to St Johns Church for their unwavering support and belief in the vision of Rea Thusana. This is a shared vision, a vision that transcends boundaries and requires the collective effort of a community to transform the lives of these prodigal daughters, providing them with a place they can proudly call home.
The resilience and determination displayed by the residents at Rea Thusana Home have been incredibly inspiring. Their unwavering commitment to change motivates us to persevere in our mission to do good. We are also thankful for the invaluable assistance provided by organizations like U-turn, who offer psychosocial support and development programs in collaboration with our team.
During a recent conversation with one of our residents, the topic of homelessness arose. She astutely stated that homelessness is fundamentally a lack of connection and belonging. This realization has led us to reevaluate our approach to addressing homelessness. We firmly believe that fostering a sense of community is essential for their recovery. Healing does not happen in isolation; it blossoms within a supportive community. At Rea Thusana Home, we provide a nurturing environment that fosters a sense of belonging, where individuals are not defined by their past or their actions, but rather by their identity in Christ.
We often emphasize the importance of collective effort, as we recognize that this is not our dream alone, but a divine vision entrusted to us by God. It will require the collaboration of all members of our community to transform this vision into reality for those who have been marginalized. We humbly invite you to join us on this journey. How can you contribute? By offering prayers, by making monthly donations of food and financial support, enabling us to provide dignified meals and comprehensive psychosocial support and development services to our residents at Rea Thusana.
