1. One thing I love about St John’s:
The profound sense of grounded belonging. Despite its historic stature and setting in the heart of Wynberg, the church is a warm, unpretentious community. There is a genuine openness here - a space where people from different backgrounds, ages, and walks of life are truly welcomed AS THEY ARE. It’s a place where my family feels supported and seen.
2. My hope or vision for St John’s into our future:
My vision for St John’s is to become an even more vibrant "hub of faith in action" for the Wynberg community. I hope we move beyond our gates more intentionally - not just as a Sunday destination, but as a visible, active presence throughout the week. Specifically, I envision us deepening our role in youth and family formation, offering creative spaces for young people to ask big questions and find mentorship. I also hope we continue to steward our beautiful property and heritage not as a museum, but as a living resource: hosting community conversations, art, care initiatives, and a quiet refuge for a busy suburb.
3. What I feel I bring to the current leadership:
I feel I bring a combination of pastoral warmth and strategic clarity. We need our focus to be on noticing who is on the margins of a group, the visitor standing alone, the quiet voice not yet heard, and creating pathways for their inclusion.
I also bring a calm, collaborative approach to decision-making, helping groups move from good intentions into sustainable action without losing sight of our spiritual centre. Ultimately, I offer a steady commitment to asking not just "what have we always done?" but "what is God calling us to become for this community?”

1. One thing I love about St John’s:
I love that God's presence is evident at St John's, and in her people.
2. My hope or vision for St John’s into our future:
My hope for St John's is renewal, growth, fruitfulness, and beauty in Christ. I envision St John's as a Church where the tangible presence, truth, and deep work of God in her midst, will bring new life, deeper faith, unity, refreshing, equipping, and involvement for all who attend. To God's glory and the furtherment of His Kingdom in Wynberg and beyond.
3. What I feel I bring to the current leadership:
I bring only my faith in, and love for Jesus, gratitude for what He has done in my life, and the gifts He has blessed me with to serve in His church.
