Meet Kimberley, St Johns' new Children's Pastor

Hey, my name is Kimberley Reynecke, I am 22 years old. I have two sisters and two nieces, I live with my mom, younger sister and grandparents. We have two dogs (Bentley and Royce) and two fish (Danny and Sandy). I am excited to be at St. Johns and to continue learning more about this community. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and helping create an amazing safe children's church community that empowers children to know and love God personally and have fun at the same time. I cannot wait to build lasting relationships with this community and be a part of seeing it thrive. I've always had a heart and passion for young people's ministry and social justice, my prayer that every child that knows and feels that they are truly seen, loved and valued by God and their community. 

Most people call me kimberley, my family and friends call me any and all variations of my name, such as kimmy, kimbucks. My birthday is the 11th of June, and I am from Cape Town where l lived most of my life in Wynberg. My bucket list is to travel (South Africa and the world) as much as possible, watch the Springboks play live and to do as many meaningful memories as possible (shows/concerts, watch the sunrise etc). 

My 3 favourite movies are Grease (I had a grease themed party for my 5th birthday), Mamma Mia and Hannah Montana. I am passionate about learning history and music. Something I achieved that surprised me is that last year I went to one of my favourite singers' concerts in Joburg alone, and paid for it myself. The best advice I've ever received was that money is not wealth but God and a good community are true wealth.
